VEM Vest - Lace Fringe

Some pieces have a life before they become yours.

This vest began as vintage linen towels sourced in Italy — each one finished with a delicate lace and tassel trim that speaks to the care and craft of how they were originally made. They travelled from Italy to a small studio in east Berlin where they were cut and sewn by hand into this one-of-a-kind vest.

The combination of lace and tassel trim gives this piece a lightness and femininity that sits beautifully against the weight of the vintage linen. The details catch the light gently and move as you move — subtle enough to feel effortless, special enough to be noticed. The boxy silhouette and tie front make it endlessly versatile.

Wear it over a simple cotton dress for an easy summer look. Layer it over a white blouse and linen trousers for something more considered. Style it with a slip dress and sandals for a warm evening out.

Because it is made from rescued vintage linen towels, only one exists. When it's gone, it's gone.
